Highly entertaining, deliciously sexy as sin, and incredibly intense.

Reasonable Doubt: Volume 3 is HERE! This serial series has taken off like CRAZY! Whitney Gracia Williams was an unknown to me at the start, and now her name is on every romance reader’s newsfeed and social media! Volume 3 is the final installment of this series! I can already hear the collective BOOHOO all over the world! I’m almost 100% sure that since everyone fell in love with this serial and these great characters, I bet we haven’t heard the last of Andrew Hamilton and his dirty, DIRTY mouth!

Highly entertaining, deliciously sexy as sin, and incredibly intense, Reasonable Doubt will set your eReaders on fire! The storyline had me hooked in Volume 1 and kept me engaged through the very end. Andrew Hamilton is a hero you will love to hate, and hate to love. He is a complete a**hole at times, and can be incredibly frustrating and stubborn. The thing is, in the final installment of this series, you get to see, what I call, the REAL Andrew! You learn about Andrew’s past and the COMPLETE HELL that he went through, and you understand why he is the way he is. I was so connected with Andrew, that this revelation was very emotional for me.

This volume starts off in a VERY hostile environment. The truth has come out, and ANDREW is pissed! AUBREY is pissed because Andrew is pissed, and we jump right back on the crazy roller coaster ride that is their relationship. A few curse words are thrown, some unknown substances are placed in people’s coffee, and hate email are all the rage! It’s hilarious as hell, but at the same time, your heart aches for these two. You go into this knowing that they will eventually get their Happily Ever After, but the road to that HEA is a tough, emotional, and steamy ride.

All in all, the series tied up very nicely, and I was satisfied with the conclusion. I only hope that one day Ms. Williams will bring us more Andrew and that filthy, sexy mouth of his.

Oustanding Ending to a Great Series!!!

RD3 is the final installment in this very steamy and extremely entertaining novella series. Whitney G definitely knows how to grip her readers and keep you coming back for more.

Aubrey finally does what she has always done - follows her dreams. She leaves Andrew behind and attempts to move forward. Andrew made it clear that he is sticking to his "One Dinner. One Night. No Repeats." mantra.

"Sorry to see that you regret meeting me, as I don't regret meeting you - only that I f*&$ed you more than once."

Aubrey finds herself again and begins a life away from Andrew. Andrew believes that he doesn't need Aubrey in his life anymore in that way. But we finally get to see another side of Andrew and answers to all of our questions.

I love the texts and emails between these two. These definitely know how to get under the other's skin. You can never fight an attraction as intense as theirs.

Whitney does a great job of tying everything together and delivering an awesome story.

This novella series is highly recommended!!!!

The best of all! great end to an interesting couple

I felt like I could finally breathe when the 3rd book in the series came out. I was disappointed with book one because I felt like I had already read a similar story line but in book two it became clear where the difference was. The characters put each other through such unexpected but likely to really happen situations. The lying and secrets helped build the plot line as well as gave us a clear view of the type of people these two were. This was the first set of books by the author that I've read and originally I didn't think I'd come back after book one but now I've read all of her books that are available now. I waited for this book for a while and I'm glad I didn't turn away during the wait but instead read her midlife love series which shows even more depth and story that the reasonable doubt series. If you are just starting g this series and haven't read any of Dr other books this is a good series to start. I don't like giving away too much info about a story but I will say, ballerina , lawyer, lies, love, sex!!!

Pathetic Heroine Made Me Cringe *Spoilers*

I could forgive the heroine for her foolish actions and extreme schoolgirl crush on the hero when she was sixteen but thirteen years later, she was still acting like that clingy, immature, petulant teenager. She held a ton of resentment for the hero in present day due to what he did when they were teens but she was just as much if not more to blame for what happened than he was. She threw herself at him knowing that he had no idea who she was and when he took her up on her offer without proclaiming his undying love to her, she was devastated.

If she was still that sore about it over a decade later, why was she the one initiating every single sexual act they had as adults? Apparently she didn't understand the concept of playing hard to get and I really disliked the air of desperation she had about her whenever she was within a foot of the hero.

The hero was nothing to brag about either. He was just a little too cool and self-possessed for my liking. He didn't act like a man in love, even at the end. I guess I didn't like that the feelings were so one-sided. The heroine had this obsessive, needy love for him for years and years and in the last few pages, he makes some ambiguous remark about how he's pretty sure he's loved her all along too. When was that? He made a half-assed attempt to apologize to her when they were teens and when he couldn't find her, he went on with his life like nothing happened. He lived the life of the ultimate bachelor, having casual affairs with long-legged blondes (his preference, even though the heroine is a petite brunette) and then leaving when things got serious. He didn't even recognize the heroine when he saw her again as an adult! Does that sound like a man in love?

I think the description of the storyline concept is accurate - the battle within ourselves and the feelings formed in youth may be suppressed for years but do you really rid yourselves of them, no matter your age? Hard to do, especially if unrequited love. Who's to say if a man, in this case the object of the heroine's affection, always makes sense either..wanting to "eat his cake and have it too." Renee Roszel always has interesting scenarios, much of the time with humor I greatly enjoy. The story is meant to be a light-hearted escape for a few hours, though some might want to take it to a psychology class to discuss and take more seriously. To each their own and for me, it was a "nice escape." Thanks to the author!

Tessa Jane Mankiller had a rather tough life. Her mother passed away, her father drank and couldn't hold a job and worst of all she fell in love at sixteen with someone who didn't love her back. One night of passion and rejection stayed with Tessa. Then thirteen years later, that same person walked into her life for a second time.

Dr. Cordell Redigo was a renown marine biologist finding and capturing two fish that were thought to be long ago extinct. Taking a break from his beloved work he came to Lost Cove Inn in Vermont to help his cousin Mary prove, or in his opinion, disprove the existence of Champ, a mythical creature. The dark haired inn keeper was a pleasant surprise, and something niggled in his mind that she seemed familiar.

What could a famous marine biologist and an inn keeper have in common? More than you would think. The author takes the reader on an adventure from the mind of a sixteen year old who thinks she's in love to a young woman who just thinks stability is all she needs for happiness. A young man who believes all he needs in life is his work. The mythical Champ brings them together, and they both find out how wrong they were. Another exciting romance by Renee Roszel that is filled with ups and downs on the journey of life and love.

If you must

If you need the Internal Revenue Code this is a handy two volume set. The type is large and easy to read. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that I only received Volume 1 with the first delivery. Then, whoever I spoke to was clearly not a US resident who kept telling me that both volumes were in one book. When you are a tax practitioner and you know that there are more sections of the Code that should be in the book, it is frustrating to have someone not believe you. Ultimately, via email correspondence with someone else, I ended up with the complete two volume set. They also didn't require me to return the volume that I had. I certainly didn't need a second volume one, but it was nice to avoid the hassle of returning. All in all it was ultimately a satisfactory experience.

Time to break it into 3 volumes?

I purchased the Summer 2014. Both volumes were shrink-wrapped together, and arrived in good condition (I've had issues with Amazon on other multi-volume tax references not shipping complete). Lift with your knees; these books are heavy. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars, is that the pages are so thin (I imagine to keep the weight down) that the words form the other side of each page shows through, which is a little distracting. I'd rather have the added weight than the super thin pages, even if it meant breaking it into three books.

Must have for tax research class. It is much easier to use a book then have ten tabs on computer open.

I would say only bad thing is that due to Congress, you need to buy new books every year.

About the Author

Following his PhD, Warren Nagourney undertook postdoctoral research at Columbia Radiation Laboratory, Columbia University, New York, after which he joined the physics department of the University of Washington as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in 1977. He remained with the department until his retirement, as a Research Professor, in 2007.

This original and ambitious study argues that Jonson employed a form of literary Vitruvianism which was a potent force in the shaping of the early masques of his Catholic period, and was to remain an active influence on poetic composition throughout the succeeding century.

A Cult Book among Teenagers--60 Years Ago

I was in junior high school outside New York City when this book made the rounds. (I'm now in my early 70's.) It was a paperback with a racy cover. The word was out in my school: "Wow, this is a great, dirty book." In those days, even George Orwell's "1984" was considered on the border of being racy; so obviously, times were far different then. Kids who got the book (including me) kept it hidden from their parents. I think there may even have been allegations that there was some communist conspiracy behind the book, because it showed the gritty and harsh world of youth gangs in New York--not a flattering picture of America. And it ended tragically. (In those days of the McCarthy hearings and blacklisting, anything that showed anything American in a bad light was believed to somehow be mixed up in communism--at least that's my recollection today of the way things were then.) I still remember, 60 years later, the horrifying last paragraph of the book--but will not divulge it here in case some plan to read the novel.

I kept my copy hidden in my closet, always fearful that my parents might discover it and raise hell with me for reading such "smut." Kids who took the book to school had it confiscated by the faculty. That fact alone increased the desirability of the book--much as the old 'banned by the Catholic Church' or 'banned in Boston' boosted sales of novels and movie tickets.

Amboy Dukes appealed to the sexual interests of we then-adolescent boys who read it. The characters routinely "felt up" their girlfriends and occasionally had sex--much as we hoped to do when we were a little older.

Of course, the social implications were lost on most of us kids. We were more interested in the sexual capers of these 1940's gangbangers. It is only in retrospect, and on reading the earlier reviewer's commentary, that I now see the book in terms of what author Shulman was trying to show us. By the way, the 1949 film "City Across the River" was based on the book. In the credits at the beginning of the film, it says: "Introducing Mr. Anthony Curtis." This was Tony Curtis' first substantial role in a movie!

I was not aware when I read the book that the Amboy Dukes was a Jewish gang, nor that kids joined gangs for protection against other ethnic groups in impoverished, tough areas of New York City and Brooklyn. (I grew up in a solidly middle-class town where there were no gangs.)

Speed ahead one year:

I purchased a relatively pricey used paperback through Amazon and read Amboy Dukes again--this time as a 72-year-old retired man, 60 years and a lot of miles after my first reading. I see now that there was an awful lot of stuff that I surely did not understand as a 12-year-old during the first reading. And I note that the stuff that was considered terribly racy, even lewd, by 1940's standards is practically "G" stuff today. But on my recent re-reading of the novel, I find myself thinking this:

The 16-year-old protagonist Frank Goldfarb and his fellow Dukes were far more sophisticated than any 16-year-olds--or even 19-year-olds--I ever knew. Likewise, in many ways, Frank's younger sister acted like an adult. And the Amboy Dukes, as a teen gang, seemed more like an adult crime family or well organized motorcycle gang. I mean--teenagers having their own club house? Organized with leaders and soldiers? These mythical kids were SMART!

Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading it again, and found that I had forgotten perhaps 80 percent of the book. It was almost like reading it for the first time--except for the grisly ending, which I recalled perfectly. It gave me chills then and now.

Overall, author Shulman presents a pretty gritty view of New York street gangs during the World War Two era.

Bought this for my dad. It brought back memories for him. He read it when he was a little boy. The delivery came quick and the book was in good condition. I'd recommend this seller for sure.

Great book, but don't buy this printing

This is a classic sci-fi farce, bringing to life a fictional book originally described in Vonnegut's "God Bless You Mr. Rosewater", while making fun of sci-fi, Vonnegut's early writing style, and generally delivering on the premise that Vonnegut creates for Kilgore Trout.
The trouble with this hardcover binding is: 1) It's hardcover, which isn't how Vonnegut described the book to begin with, and 2) It lacks essential cover features described by Vonnegut, such as the ridiculous photo of Trout that appears on the back cover of the paperback.
So don't buy this in hardcover; seek out a used copy of the paperback edition.
